Hives, hives, and more hives.

Poor Parker. Everything always happens to Parker. First he cuts his head open and is rushed by ambulance to the ER. Then he trips over Mike's foot, falls face first on the concrete, and loses his tooth. Then he splits his chin open at the Bowling Alley and gets to visit his friends at the ER once more. Just this past weekend he was stung by a bee. If it is going to happen to a kid, it is going to happen to Parker. He is only two and he has been rushed to the doctor/ER WAY more times than I have.

Tuesday after school he came home with a slight fever. Nothing severe, just a small fever and wasn't feeling so good. But that night it was gone and he was feeling better. Wednesday morning he woke up with a few hives. I wasn't sure what had given him hives, but later that day during Eden's doctors appointment, I showed the Doc and asked what it was. I told him that he had been running a slight fever the day before. He said it was probably a virus and the hives were caused by that. He asked if the hives appeared after the fever went away, and when I answered yes, he shook his head and confirmed that the hives were from that and they would last 4-7 days. He told me to give him Benadryl for discomfort, but otherwise not to worry and that they would be gone soon.
Well we woke up this morning to this:

It doesn't look NEARLY as bad in these pictures as it actually is. He is covered head to toe, even on his face. Poor little dude!

Parkers class party

Picture post

I thought I would add some random pics from the last week. We had our Halloween dinner club this past weekend, which was so fun! I served lobster stuffed beef tenderloin with Bearnaise sauce and a side of Carbonara. Yummy! We had 7 couples and it was a dress up party...which was great. Everyone had such unique ideas. Mike and I went as Hugh Hefner and a bunny. I was NOT amused about dressing in the bunny suit at only 3 months post-partum, but I was a good sport and did it anyway. Mike added a nice (read: obscene) addition to his costume. See if you can spot his pink friend!Anyway, the night was fun.....but I am glad it is over. Having that many people for dinner is so fun, but kinda stressful also!

The kids are looking forward to Halloween this weekend and have had so much fun with all the Halloween stuff floating around our house. Jacob has enjoyed scaring Parker with the masks we have. One is a witch, which is kinda scary, but the other is Tiger Woods. Not scary, but Jacob does look freaky with it on his head and Parker wigs out when he sees it. It even kinda freaks me out a little to be honest. Its like that Burger King guy. *shivers*

Here is Parker making sure that it is indeed Jacob under the mask.

The boys have also enjoyed harassing Eden with their Halloween stuff.

and, thinking that they were scaring which she was clearly un-phased.

I can't wait to see them in their costumes Friday. They both have class parties on Thursday so they will actually get to wear them 2 days in a row! Parker is going as Superman and Jacob as Darth Vader. I will probably just put a bunny hat on Eden and call it a day....although I do have a little cat suit that I may put her in. It depends on the weather I guess.
Anyway, since it is Eden's 3 month "birthday", I do have to do her doll pic still....but she is sleeping so it will have to wait. I promise to update later! Here is one last pic from this morning. My kids pretending that they all love each other! (kidding of course; strangely enough they get along so well!) I put Eden down on Parker's bed so I could fold laundry and within minutes the boys had her sandwiched.
Ta ta for now!

Naughty Nacsar!!

Here's a quick video of Parker sitting down to watch his favorite movie, Madagascar...which he ever-so-cutely calls "Naughty Nascar"! LOL. PS...he also pooped in the potty for the second time today, without me even having to ask!

'Tis the season for company at the Devenny house...and we love it! The Devenny's arrived this past weekend and just left yesterday. The day they arrived, little miss Eden was diagnosed with a nasty case of RSV. Actually, it isn't all that nasty after all, but we did have a couple bad days. Poor baby girl was sooo congested and was having trouble breathing when she would cough. I was afraid that they were going to have to hospitalize her...but Sunday she made a turnaround and she is doing great! She still has a cold and we are still administering breathing treatments...but the worst is over. *knock on wood* BUT...we still ended up having a great time with the Devenny's here and it was great to see them. Since I was tending to Eden most of the time, I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked. Mike did snap this one though......Mimi and Pop Pop completely enthralled with Jacob's Wii game!

***** Photo deleted by request*****

I think I am coming down with what Parker and Eden had/have (I failed to mention that Parker had the sniffles, too)...and I feel like crap. Last night I went to bed at 7, and even more shocking, without having dinner! ;) Today is a little better and I am trying to get myself well before Mama Lou, Ebby and Kaley arrive on Thursday. We are all so excited for them to come! I promise to take more pictures while they are here.

Yesterday Eden was 11 weeks exactly and she celebrated it with her first giggle. SOOO CUTE! She giggled at me again today, so I know it wasn't a fluke. She is so adorable and each day that passes, her personality shines more and more. I love it!!

Well, that's all for today...I'd better get going. I have to pick the kids up from school and get them both haircuts. They look like shaggy dogs...both of them!

So I am totally obsessed with Stephanie Meyer's 'Twilight' series. I am on book 3 and all I want to do is read. I don't want to clean, cook, do laundry, or even talk on the phone. When Eden wakes up from her nap, I feel a pang of disappointment that I have to put my book down. How pitiful is that!? I don't even want to 'waste time' working out. All I want to do is read.

Speaking of working out....geesh! frustrating. Usually after a baby I can whip myself into shape with the snap of my fingers. I can lose 5 lbs in a week if I want to. This time? Nope. Not happening. I am STUCK at 144 lbs and the scale isn't budging (except to rise a few lbs whenever I decide to stray from my good eating). I still have 10-15 lbs to lose and it seems like I will never get there. Is this some cruel joke God plays on you when you reach thirysomething? If so, its not funny.

Today I am off to run before Mike leaves for work, and then after I drop the kids at school, I will head to the gym for some weight training. We have a friends' birthday lunch today so I'd better be good this morning so I can have something besides lettuce for lunch.

So I'd better get moving. We had a great weekend in Gulf Breeze! Thanks to Laura and Ty for having us. I loved meeting baby Leah and playing with Nate!

Edens stats and Pumpkin Patch pics they all promised!
Eden was 11 lbs 2 oz. at her appointment. That puts her in the 70% for her weight. She was 22 inches long, which puts her in the 50% for her height.

In comparison:
Jacob was 14 lbs. 14 oz. and 24.5 inches, and
Parker was 12 lbs. 13 oz. and 25 inches.

She is definitely smaller than the boys, but holding her own on the "girls" chart. She is happy and perfect, although she does have a small case of thrush, which they put her on meds for. Poor little baby girl had to get 4 shots and an oral vaccine today. She no likey the shots ONE BIT! She did the 30 second silent cry and then let out a loud scream. She promptly stopped though when I picked her up. I love being the hero! ;)

Here is a pic of her from the Pumpkin Patch today. I don't generally like babies in black, but this is a kitty cat onsie for Halloween and I couldn't resist putting her in it for the Pumpkin Patch. I also tried one of these huge silly flower/bows. In this pic, she is wondering why I didn't just leave it at home in the drawer. (but sorry Eden, mommy finally got a girl!)

Here is some of all 3 kiddos. It is insanely hard to get them all to look and smile at the same time, so I don't. I just take candids and hope one of them turns out OK. This time I got a few cute ones!

And this one just to show off Jacob's pretty eyes!

Speaking of Jacob's is a great shot of him and Eden. He looks so sweet holding her! He really does love her to death and is so gentle and nice to her.

And precious Parker Bear! The poor middle child. Why do they always come last? He isn't the tiny baby, and he isn't the sweet, handsome big boy. But he *is* crazy, loud, daring, clumsy, silly, cuddly, funny, and mostly just as CUTE as he can be. He is so sweet and although he may look big, he is still (and will always be!) my little baby Poo Bear.

Enjoy the pics! PS....who slipped the sap into my coffee this morning? ;)

29 hours and counting.....

Well, 29 hours and counting until I get to meet baby Leah! I am so excited. I can't wait to play and snuggle with Nate, too. It is going to be soo nice to be on an airplane ALONE! We haven't flown much lately, but when we have, we have had the kiddos with us. Will I actually get to read this time? I am totally obsessed with the 'Twilight' series and all I want to do is read. And I will get to for two hours straight! WOOHOO! Eden is still so easy that she doesn't count as a child She is still in her sleepy she is as easy as pie.

The weekend after Gulf Breeze, the Devennys will be here. The weekend after that, Mama Lou, Ebbs and Kaley will be here. The weekend after that, we have dinner club here (a Halloween/costume party dinner club). Should be loads of fun. The weekend after that, Mike has his Nascar weekend. He is staying in an RV with his buddies and of course going to a Nascar race or two. And then the weekend after that is his birthday!! By that time we will be in the middle of November. We are going to be so busy!

Well, today the kids and I head to the Pumpkin Patch for a field trip for Jacob's school. I am taking Parker today just because I have nothing else to do with him. He goes with his class tomorrow though, so he gets to go twice! Tomorrow I will be gone though, so Daddy is taking him. He will love that and it should be fun for Mike too.

I will update later on Eden's stats and include some pic of the kids at the Pumpkin Patch.
