So. Remember when I said this? Yeah, well I take it back. ;) But not only because he got the boot last night. I knew exactly what was going to happen, and I'm glad it turned out the way it did. Kris and Adam seem in it to win it, getting better and better every week. Danny seemed to get stale; sounding as good late season as he did at the beginning. Don't get me wrong, he is an incredible singer, but there was just no spark there at the end. This won't be the last we hear from him though; he will be A-OK.
Paula chose a crunk song for him to sing (not very fair actually) and the song he chose was catered to an old grandma. (no offense Mama Lou!! But I'm not talking about your kind of 'old'. ;)) It was something that you'd hear at a nursing home dance, not what the young people want to hear on the radio!! I think I even nodded off a few times.
Kris's 'Heartless' on Tuesday night was the BOMB. I was all by myself watching, smiling with my mouth open. I couldn't believe what I was hearing! It was so good. I voted for Kris and Adam and I am glad they are in the top 2. They both totally deserve it. I think things would have been different if Danny's song choices had been more current, but they weren't...and that's how the cookie crumbles. Sorry Danny!
And before this week, my favorites would have gone in this order.
1. Danny
2. Kris
3. Adam
But after watching last night, I am on Team Adam. I'm not sure why, as I didn't even really like him much at all most of the season. His version of 'Tracks of my Tears' was the best song sung all season by anyone, and I loved that...but I just didn't love him. I'm not sure what changed last night..maybe it was seeing him at home? Not sure. But he grew on me. GO ADAM!! (And btw...he has it in the bag...no way Kris can beat him. Sorry Kris! That would have been one good thing if Danny would have gotten through...it would have been a close call. Now? Notsomuch.)

I am so in agreement on Danny going stale. The same Danny - a great singer - week in and out. He did not grow like Kris did. I heard Kris's cousin on one of the Christian stations I listen to and fell more in love with him. An outstanding guy in every way. So...while I love Adam's entertaining way and voice and charisma; I may be pulling for Kris. Can't wait to see what they do next Tuesday!!!
Sorry - Adam is just a little too over the top for me - I just can't like him though I do agree he is very talented and polished. So it's Go Chris for me!!!!!!!!!
i cannot stand adam. his voice makes my ears bleed! everyone seems to love him but i honestly have to turn down the volume when he is on. he just screams out his songs. i think he's terrible! he BUTCHERED "one". i'm team kris all the way. heartless was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. :) i think you're right though....adam seems to have the votes. poo.
I'M Kris - ALL THE WAY! I think he has a much larger following than we realize. I'm convinced that Adam's convinced he'll win. Hope we prove him wrong.
Yes Stacie, Heartless was flippin good. My second favorite song sung of the whole season!! And you're right. One was TERRIBLE. I will be happy no matter who wins honestly. And....I say now that I am on Team Adam, BUT...I was on Team Danny until Tuesday so it alll can change! Its gonna be a great finale. Too bad you will be on an airplane mom! Its going to be a laaaaate night for us. You know I am not watching it until you get there!
AND...what will we do about the real finale on Wednesday? Preschool graduation followed by Jacobs end of season baseball party at a minor league game here un town. We wont be able to watch it....OMG!! Do you think Mike could just take him? ;)
I'll admit to loving Adam from the start, but Kris grew on me. His Heartless did it for me like very few American Idol songs have. I have only bought a few AI songs on Itunes and this was definitely one of them.
Kris has a really good chance to win, especially considering my unlimited capacity for text messaging. :P
For the first time ever, whoever wins, I'll be so happy.
